Hi friends, I know someone can give me the file of the rescue of the characters in smash released and the directory for used it!! Is this possible? Anyone have a completed Dolphin save state of Super Smash Bros Brawl (or at the very least, with all characters unlocked)? Messing around with Dolphin 4.0.2. After finding a complete wii save file (.bin), I imported it using Dolphin's import wii save option, but it doesn't seem to take.

Well dual core and idle skipping and using the jit recompilier are all default things for all games (except games that wont work with them). Its already pre-configured for games in the.ini files.
The backend, openGL is the fastest (when using vertex streaming hack) and most accurate. It was completely redone. There is NO point in using d3d backends.
Even on amd cards opengl is faster. So that is inaccurate information. Skip efb copies is auto turned on for games it can be used on w/o problems via the.ini files. The rest of the settings, you shouldnt really turn on, as they are marginal speed boosts at high risk of things not working properly or crashing. And quite a few of them were removed from the window on the newest revisions:/ (even vsh was removed as they just have it as 'always on' now) even if he did every possible speedhack and tweak humanly possible, his cpu is WAY too weak to play the game at full speed all the time. But you totally know more, please go on. You do realize the ENTIRE point of me linking that was to give a short simple answer that will lead him to come to the conclusion that nothing can be done about his lag right?
The same damn answer that is always given to 'why am I lagging??' Or was that too subtle? Should I have just said 'hey bro your computer sucks' and get into the same fight of 'but my computer can run crysis'. Simple link with everything he needed to know, done.
No shit some things are out of date. Congrats captain obvious. Anyone with two brain cells can read it and figure out what they need to figure out. I generally try to assume that most people who come here are at least reasonably intelligent. Hell the program tells you what to select anyways.
Is 'If unsure select this' too complicated? It tells you what settings are problematic and which give decent performance. By default all the settings are decently optimal anyways so changing them is usually futile, hence my original point. Also telling someone to increase their internal resolution and AF is beyond stupid when the problem they are having is lagging. But no you clearly know what the fuck your talking about. Even if he sported dual titans, it was still pointless for the issue at hand. And then you admit his cpu is too weak to run it at full speed.

Congrats you even acknowledge you have wasted your time. Simple links for people to come to simple conclusions. Thou doth try too hard. Respond if you want but it will just go ignored. You already admit you like to waste time.
In wii games 60 fps = 100% speed so 45fps would only be 75% speed, which would be quite laggy. Anything under like 95% speed is noticeable. Use the openGL backend, and under hacks tab enable the 'vertex streaming hack' this will give a huge speed up. For your Internal resolution id say you should be able to get 3-4x, but i dont recommend using ANY AA.
You can have AF to probably 16x. (you have to play with video settings. Turn it up until you notice even a 1fps loss, if you get any loss, back settings down.
As you dont want a gpu bottleneck in emulation). Now your problem is due to your weak cpu. To play wii games at full speed all the time, you will likely need to OC that cpu to around 4.8-5.0ghz. AMD cpus have horrible IPC performance, so they are not good for emulation. And emulators only use 2 cores, so having more does almost nothing for you. Really wii emulation isnt possible on amd cpus. You can get some of the lesser demanding games working at full speed with super high overclocks, but the more demanding such as last story, xenosaga, super mario galaxy its impossible.
My 4.8ghz fx8350 couldnt even get full speed in those games. Black friday i upgraded to an i7-4770K (was $220:P), and at the stock speeds, i got almost full speed in all those games. (few small drops in speed).
After ocing to 4.0ghz all play at 100% speed. That's not now FPS work.
Frames per second means how many pictures that wil be shown of the thing that happens in the game in one second. If object A moves from Left to Right, having 45 FPS makes it go choppier, but it will still be at the right side in 1 second. If you had 2 FPS, you would only see it in the middle, and when it reached the right side. Your logic sais that at 2FPS, it would take the object 30 seconds, but that's wrong. The movement still happens fluidly, but it's DISPLAYED choppily. Of course, you could lower the speed of the emulation with the FPS, but that's not on by default.
Other than that, pretty nice tips. When you are not frame skipping (as that will show lower fps, as frames are being skipping thus less fps).
The fps will be locked to 30/30 or 60/60 fps for full speed (game dependent). And frameskipping is an option not in the main config window, and no one should even be changing the frame limit from anything but auto. So that means his fps should be scaling that way. If hes getting 45fps on a 60 fps games, that means he is getting 3/4 the fps from the full speed.
3/4 of speed is 75% and 3/4 the vps would also be 45. In emulation fps is really a superficial value. Its about the VPS.
60 VPS = 100% speed, fps is irrelevant (you can render 1fps and play at 100% speed. It would just be unplayable since skipping that many frames would be insane). But i figured i wouldnt complicate the answer for him when its not needed. Fps is a value more people understand then vps. Regardless his cpu isnt enough for full speed wii emulation.
